Fatigue Management Conferences to be Held by NSCA

National Safety CouncilThe National Safety Council of Australia will be holding conferences in both Sydney and Brisbane to look at the issues around fatigue management. In Sydney the conference will be held on the 18th to 19th March and in Brisbane on the 21st and 22nd of March.

Fatigue can seriously affect the health of a person and can be even more dangerous in certain workplace situations especially where machinery is being operated.

In fact though it can have far reaching affects and not just affect a workers overall health but also their ability to perform their job well, productivity and does increase the possibility of workplace accidents which is why it is the best interest of everyone to look at sustainable, long term solutions.

Evidence from research that has been conducted shows that people that are suffering from fatigue are more likely to be involved in taking risks which raises even further the possibility of them being injured in an accident.

The impact that is felt from fatigue related accidents is significant and not only affects the workers involved but has a flow on affect to families, friends and the communities that they live and work in.

These conferences are designed to help participants develop policies and procedures and provide sufficient knowledge to implement an appropriate fatigue management plan within their workplaces.

By attending one of these conferences attendees will have the opportunity to learn skills such as:

–          How to conduct a full fatigue related risk assessment within the workplace in a short amount of time

–          Knowledge that will ensure that your organisation will be able to address the issue of fatigue management effectively

–          Participants will be given templates, tools and techniques that will mean that the fatigue risk management system will have the best information available to ensure that it addresses all issues

–          And More!
